nice shots. found your site thru phphoto. are these from your Sigma 70-200? is it me, or the pictures seem a bit soft sometimes? is your Sigma the APO HSM or the newer APO HSM DG? just curious. how is the sharpness at f/2.8?
Daniel, yep all the shots posted yesterday are from the 70-200 DG HSM--all at f/2.8. Like you said, it's kinda soft wide open, pero I think slow shutter speeds may have caused some issues as well. I didn't use a monopod or tripod for most of my shots--hassle since I needed to run around the stage a lot. Kinda soft wide-open, but it's light years better than my old consumer zoom.
I've been contemplating on purchasing a Sigma or a Canon (when I have the money. Hehe.) Comparative reviews said Canon's f2.8 is sharp. I've tried the DG at Sigma Office on a 20D, ok naman ang sharpness in my opinion. Looks like the DG has little difference to its older version.
My Sigma 28-70 is also soft at 2.8 all throughout. Sad. So I use 4.0 for crisp shots.
This is a nice blog bro. Keep up the good work! I hope you find time to visit my blog as well. :)

Thank for the reply Arvin.
